City University of Macau Successfully Held the 3rd "CityU Cup" College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition
The 3rd "CityU Cup" College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition launched its registration in November. A total of nearly 70 students from 17 teams across different disciplines on campus participated. Eventually, 8 teams successfully completed the final at the Ho Yin Convention Centre on December 4th.
The 3rd "CityU Cup" College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition continued the spirit of "Originating from CityU, Rooted in the Greater Bay Area, with Passionate Youth, Daring to Venture and Innovate". Through rich competition forms and content, it strengthened the cultivation of students' innovative practical abilities, encouraged students to actively participate, and deeply inspired the innovation and entrepreneurship enthusiasm of young students at CityU. After the preliminary selection, 8 teams were selected to advance to the final for on - site roadshows. Ultimately, 3 teams stood out with their unique creativity, profound market insights, and excellent teamwork capabilities, winning the top three honors. The judges highly recognized the performance of each team, believing that the projects not only demonstrated outstanding innovation capabilities but also held promise for bringing positive impacts to future social development.
To broaden students' horizons, the Ung Choi Kun Entrepreneurship and Career Centre invited experts from the entrepreneurship fields in the Chinese mainland and Macau to serve as judges. The incisive comments of the judges on the projects enabled the participating students to think anew from different perspectives, and they benefited a great deal. The judging panel this time included: Wang Sheng, the President of the Jiangsu Alumni Association of City University of Macau and the Secretary of the General Party Branch of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship College of Yangzhou Polytechnic Institute; Ma Jun, the President of the Guangxi Alumni Association of City University of Macau and the Dean of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship College of Nanning University; Tian Yihui, the Associate Dean of the School of Business of City University of Macau; Xue Xunyue, an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of International Tourism and Management of City University of Macau; Liao Xinjun, the Chairman of the Macau Institute for Governance, Intelligence and People; and Lin Silang, the Managing Director of Olympic International Co., Ltd.

In this competition, the final winning teams were:
Champion - Yue Rong Domestic Service, Runner - up - Rural Strategy Cloud Sino - Portuguese Technology Laser Scanning, Third - place - Composite Nanomaterial Supplier.

Winning the championship in this competition is not only an affirmation of our team's efforts but also a recognition of our school's education and training methods. Here, I would like to especially thank the teachers at CityU of Macau. Their guidance and suggestions have made our plan stand out. At the same time, I also want to thank the Ung Choi Kun Entrepreneurship and Career Centre and the teachers from the Student Affairs Office for the resources and support they provided. They have been of great help to our plan, from settlement, incubation, innovation research to market promotion. In addition, I want to thank my teammates. We have gone through countless days and nights of discussions and experiments together. Every challenge has made us more united and determined. We will continue to move forward on the path of innovation and entrepreneurship in the future.
Runner - up: Rural Strategy Cloud - Sino - Portuguese Technology 3D Laser Scanning to Assist in the Digital Protection of Ancient Village Architectural Heritage
We are very happy to have won an award in the "CityU Cup" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. Our project mainly focuses on the protection of architectural heritage through digital methods. The team responds to the national rural revitalization policy and aims to build beautiful villages with technology. Next, I will continue to delve deep into my research field and better implement the research results to serve society.
Third - place: Composite Nanomaterial Supplier
We are very honored to have won the third - place in the CityU Cup. This honor is both an encouragement and a spur to us. During the preparation process, we learned a lot and grew a great deal. We sincerely thank the judges for their recognition and guidance, as well as everyone who has given us support and help. We are well aware that there is still much to learn and improve. In the future, we will continue to work hard, keep innovating, and hope to go further on the path of innovation and entrepreneurship.
